Showcasing the organic possibilities of moulded fibreglass in an unconventional way at the time of creation, Aarnio's Pastil chair conveys a futuristic sensibility, and has been used in various science fiction movies and television shows.
The Pastil is the shape of its namesake, a pill, with central section that has been scooped out to create a relaxed seating experience. With no feet, the chair easily spins and rocks making it a comfortable and forgiving seat, despite it’s solid construction.
The fibreglass shell allows it to be used both indoors and outdoors. We’ve heard rumours of them being used as a snow sled in the past, however we certainly wouldn’t recommend it with this original 60s edition.
